If the book is called Bodega Dreams, why is Chino telling the story and not Bodega?

Are people capable of changing, even after they have lived lives of corruption? Why/Why not?

Just who is Willie Bodega??

As we have discussed, "Reinvention" is a major theme in the novel. Characters, both major and minor, have repeatedly tried to become someone new. Willie Bodega is a prime example of this, but as the book continues, it is becoming harder and harder to really understand who Willie Bodega or "Izzy" is. What is your impression of Willie Bodega? If you had to write a character sketch of Bodega, how would you write it? Who exactly is he??
