Speak to me....
So, now you've met Chino and Sapo - you've also met Chino's wife, Blanca. Blanca is pretty angry at Chino, in Round 2, for not seeing that Sapo is using Chino. While Chino may actually recognize this, why is it he feels compelled to ignore that and help Sapo? What reasons do we do this? Do you think it's right to help someone in a wrong, simply to prove our loyalty? When is this ok and is it ever not ok??? Answer the question, or talk to eachother!! Also, don't forget to finish Rounds 2 and 3, plus do the study guide. I'll see ya tomorrow!!

aright, chino should always help out Sapo because Sapo would do the same for him. Best friends should always help each other out, no matter what. loyalty is number one. Chino should also tell that chick Blanca to shut her mouth about Sapo. Bros before Hoes
I think that because Sapo helped chino get a name and taught him how to survive on the street he should help him. Also Sapo has always been there for chino no matter what. They're best friends and best friends help each other out without asking questions. even if it's sellin' buds
I think Chino should continue helping Sapo because they have been friends all through out thier lives, and have been through a lot together. Also, Sapo always had Chinos back when he was in fights, so chino in a way is returning the favor.
I think that chino knows that sapo is useing him some what. in the same way he could just say to him self that he is askign for a favor. It is a diffrent when he ask to hold the drugs. i think that it is ok for chino to do what he is doing. sapo is chinos boy ,and sapo did alot of stuff for chino when they were young so he knows he o's sapo.
Well first off i gatta agree wtih my two fellow classmates in regards to that no matter what the request is your there for you friend. In Chinos case Sapo is his boy who helped raise him and become someone on the streets. hell without Sap theres a chance Chino woulda never ended up with Blanca. Pretty much other then the request to kill another person you gatta follow the rules of loyalty and help a brother. especially when it comes to dealing cause its easy and safe if you do it right. and to reinforce schroeders comment ESPECIALLY if its selling buds<3

Do you guys think it's different for girls?? I mean, this is pretty much the guy's perspective, but do you think girls would feel the same about this stuff?
Ok, I definately think that Chino should help out sapo because they grew up together. Sapo helped Chino get a name and everything when they were growing up. Unfortunately I agree with the guys in our class, although I do understand where Blanca is comming from. It's hard to watch someone you care about get mixed up in the wrong crowd.
like jake said bros before hoes anyday. I think that chino does realize that he is being used but shit happens. Chino puts that behind him and helps out his boy sapo because thats just what boys do. sorry girls dont understand that. I think it is right to help someone out to a certain extent but when it crosses that line theres a time u got to say no.
I understand why he feels the need to help him but Chino could definatley get hurt by Sapo and Sapo's "friends". I think that if I had to help a friend and by doing so, I had to do something wrong, I would do it as long as it wouldn't hurt anyone else.
well i think that chino should help sapo as long as what he doing isnt hurtting anyone. they grew up with eachother and they relie on eachother to help when they need it. i would do the same thing for a friend if they truely need my help.
chino feels he should help sapo because he basically made him someone, and without sapo chino would basically be a nobody. Chino feels obligated to help him for this to return the favor to sapo.
From what I myself have been seeing and compared to my personal opinions on this subject, I think that Chino is acting extremely childish and naive. Even though loyalty is a major part of life, and very important, Chino must realize that he is growing a family now, and that when you have a family, you place them above everybody and everything. If Chino truly wants to grow up and start acting more mature, he has to stop acting selfish and act more selfless, and if he is not willing to convict himself for such a reason as that, he would be pushing Blanca away.
I totally agree with mark liebman. Once you have a family - including your child- you have to leave everything else behind. Chino is somebody's FATHER and that's FOREVER. You screw up your life and the kid's automatically screwed too- who does that to their own kid? Plus, when you MARRY someone you pledge to become ONE with them- that's bigger than friendship. Chino and Blanca are MARRIED which is totally different than just dating someone. He shouldn't be holding for Sapo.
I think that Chino owes it to sapo to help him because he tok care of him before, he helped him get a name and also helped him on the streets. Since they are best friends he should also help him out. And I think Jake pretty much sums it up for everyone about Blanca...bros before hoes.
i think you should always help out your friends and show loyalty to them no matter if they are right or wronng. respect son.
Chino feels obligated to help Sapo because he always had his back when they were growing up. Sapo may not be doing the right thing now but Chino still feels like he owes it to his friend to help him out. At this point in Chino's life I think he should be more concerned about his wife and his child though. He's older and needs to look at things differently then he did when he was younger.
he should get sapos back hed be a fruitcup without him and hes whipped by his wife
Chino and Sapo are boys. Its man law....you help out your friends when they need you. times like this are what define a friendship. Also Sapo would do the same for him, Chino knows that if he ever needed Sapo he would be there for him. As quoted from an earlier round "If I ever had to fight someone I would tell Sapo and he would be there, crew and all ready to fight for me"

I think that Chino should help out Sapo because Sapo was always there for him in the past when he needed him. Chino should be more careful with what he does now though since he is married and has a kid. That should play a role in his decisons too.
very interesting question you proposed their bat! I would like to say that Chino shoul help his boy out who gave him a name and showed him what loyalty is all about. A friend in need is a friend indeed! But if Sapo starts doin and asking for things like murdering people and stuff ITS CLEARLY GONE TO FAR!
I think Chino helps Sapo because its all about friendship and loyalty. That is how they were both brought up and they would do anything for eachother even in hard situations.
i think chino would have to find a balance between chino and sapo. True, sapo did help chino when they were younger and they are friends but chino is married. This commitment to her and the future family still holds strong. So chino can help sapo but I feel he shouldn't get to deeply involved
hey batt i'm finally determined to do the blogs to get over a 60 this marking period! Chino has to have Sapo's back just because they grew up together and Sapo has been there for Chino. Although Blanca doesnt understand it only makes sense for Chino to do the right thing and look out for his boy. To return the favor of Sapo always having his back he must stand by his side like best friends do.
